Greenpoint Nazi Skins. A study by Adam Krause.
These facinating yet disturbing portraits of Racist Skinheads in Greenpoint, Brooklyn NYC, show the uncomfortable side of racism which still exists today's western society and which most people try and ignore or sweep under the carpet. The study is made even more poignant given the photographer's cultural background.
"In the summer of 2009 I came across a group of Nazi skinheads while working out at my local gym, I starting talking to them after recognizing their racist punk band t-shirts. They gave me access to their homes and their lives, which was a very strange place to be for someone like myself who grew up in a very strict Jewish family, with four grandparents who survived the Holocaust." Adam Krause.
